Announcing the 2022 Gary Field Tournament

The Halifax Hurricanes Ringette Association is proud to present the 11th annual Gary Field Memorial Ringette Tournament, December 1st to 4th.

Last year we had 56 teams register for the tournament, and this year we anticipate it will be our largest to date. We have booked 50% more ice time on three ice surfaces. That's over 100 hours of ice time. We will continue to use both ice surfaces at St. Margarets Centre in Tantallon, but this year we will also be using the LeBrun ice surface. This will give us more time to add fun activities like:

  • Skills competition for U10-U19
  • Canada Winter Games Exhibition matches between New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia.
  • U7/9 Jamboree with some help from our Nova Scotia Canada Winter Games Team.

We will be offering the following divisions:

  • U7/9 - Half Ice Jamboree
  • U10 - guarantee 3 games
  • U12 - guarantee of 3 games + finals
  • U14 A - guarantee of 3 games + finals
  • U14 B - guarantee of 3 games + finals
  • U16 A - guarantee of 3 games + finals
  • U16 B - guarantee of 3 games + finals
  • U19 A - guarantee of 3 games + finals
  • U19 B - guarantee of 3 games + finals

We're working hard to make this a memorable event for the players. Here are some of the extras we have in store:

  • Western style Banquet at Hatfield Farm featuring all-you-can-eat hamburgers, bucking bull ride, bonfires, and much more.
  • We will be announcing all teams onto the ice with a light show and great music.
  • For those lucky teams that make it to the finals, we have custom medals, banners, and a singer for the national anthem.

Stay tuned for more information.
